How to Create & Manage Operators

Operators are teams in FS Reality. Here’s how to create one, manage it, and work with your team.

Creating an Operator

  1. Go to Operators in the sidebar.
  2. Click Create Operator.
  3. Fill in the operator details: name, code, description, and settings.
  4. You become the Owner automatically.

Operator names and codes must be unique. You can belong to a maximum of 3 operators.

Joining an Existing Operator

Public operators:

  1. On the Operators page, use the search to find public operators.
  2. Click to join. You’ll be added as a Member.

By invitation:

  1. An operator member with ManageUsers permission sends you an invite.
  2. The invite appears in your Notifications.
  3. Accept or decline. If you accept, you’re added to the operator.

Invite-only operators can only be joined by invitation.

Operator Detail Panel

Click on any operator you belong to to open its detail panel with four tabs:

Overview

Operator profile including name, description, balance, member count, fleet size, and payout percentage.

Assets

Aircraft and hangars owned by the operator.

Members

Current members and their roles. If you have ManageUsers permission, you can:

  • Invite new members
  • Change a member’s role (you can’t change your own role)
  • Remove members

Settings

Only visible if you have ManageSettings permission. From here you can:

  • Edit name, description, and color
  • Change the payout percentage
  • Toggle invite-only mode
  • Configure which permissions Admins and Members have
  • Delete the operator (owner only, and only if the operator has no aircraft)

Leaving an Operator

Click Leave from the operator panel. You cannot leave if you have active flights or rentals tied to that operator. The owner cannot leave and must delete the operator instead.
